Lang Tang Valley Trek – 10 Days

Following breakfast, a comprehensive briefing session will be conducted to provide valuable insights about the upcoming trip. Our knowledgeable guide will delve into various aspects such as the trek itself, the geographical features, local customs and traditions, as well as the daily itinerary including the duration of the trek and notable attractions. Additionally, we will be at your disposal to assist with any trekking gear requirements and guide you through the stores in Thamel where you can acquire them. Once the necessary preparations are complete, we will embark on a delightful sightseeing tour encompassing Kathmandu Durbar Square and Thamel. If time permits, we may even have the opportunity to visit the renowned Pashupatinath Temple and witness the mesmerizing aarati ceremony. 

We will embark on a journey to Syabru Besi on this particular day, as it serves as the entrance to the Langtang Valley trek. Situated at an elevation of 1450m, Syabru Besi is approximately a 6-7 hour drive from Kathmandu. Along the route, we will have the opportunity to admire the scenic beauty of the Trishuli River. Upon reaching Dhunche, we will complete the necessary check-in procedures at the Langtang National Park. Finally, after an hour's drive, we will arrive at Syabru Besi where we will settle into our lodge and take some well-deserved rest. 

Once we have finished our breakfast, we will embark on our trek. Setting off at our own comfortable pace, we will traverse a scenic trail that winds its way through the enchanting forest. As we ascend through the uphill forest, we will eventually arrive at Bamboo, situated at an elevation of 1850m, where we will pause for a delightful lunch. Following our rejuvenating meal, we will resume our journey, eagerly exploring the rest of the trail. As the day draws to a close, we will find ourselves at Lama Hotel, nestled at an elevation of 2500m, marking the end of our eventful day. 

Today marks the third day of our trek, and we can expect even more excitement as we venture forth. The trails ahead will be filled with awe-inspiring sights and the breathtaking view of Mount Langtang Lirung. Our journey will take us through enchanting rhododendron and pine forests, a delightful experience that will last for approximately three hours until we reach Ghoda Tabela. Along the way, we will have the pleasure of crossing several picturesque bridges over the Langtang Khola. Once we arrive at Ghoda Tabela, it will be time to savor a well-deserved lunch. Following our meal, we will continue our adventure along a scenic trail that leads to Langtang Village, situated at an elevation of 3430m. Just before reaching the new Langtang Village, we will encounter the remnants of the old village, tragically destroyed during the devastating earthquake of 2015. To reach our destination, we must navigate through a landslide area, where we may still catch glimpses of the houses that once stood in the old Langtang Village. 

Our journey begins after enjoying a delicious breakfast, as we embark on a scenic walk towards our desired location. The estimated duration of our walk today is approximately 3-4 hours, during which we will be treated to breathtaking vistas of the majestic Mt. Ganchenpo and the awe-inspiring Mt. Langtang Lirung. Upon reaching our destination after this invigorating trek, we will indulge in a satisfying lunch. The rest of the day will be filled with exciting activities, including a visit to the Yak cheese factory, exploring a glacial lake nestled at the foot of Langtang Lirung, and immersing ourselves in the serene ambiance of Kyanjin Monastery. 

We begin our day by rising early in the morning and embarking on a hike to kyanjin ri, situated at an impressive elevation of 4773m. Once we reach the summit, we are rewarded with breathtaking views of the entire kyanjin gompa village and the majestic mountains that surround it. After descending from kyanjin ri, we indulge in a delicious breakfast before commencing our trek back to lama hotel. This scenic journey will span approximately 7 hours, allowing us to immerse ourselves in the beauty of the landscapes, forests, and wildlife that grace our path. 

On the sixth day of our trek, we will proceed with our journey at a leisurely pace, allowing everyone to enjoy the trail without any hurry. The majority of the route will be downhill, providing a relaxed and comfortable walking experience.  

Our path will lead us back to Syabrubesi from Lama Hotel, passing through the scenic Bamboo area and crossing several suspension bridges along the way. This leg of the trek is estimated to take approximately 5-6 hours, allowing ample time to soak in the beautiful surroundings. 

Our incredible journey through the Langtang valley trek is coming to an end as we embark on the final day. With a tinge of sadness, we bid farewell to the breathtaking landscapes and bid adieu to this enchanting valley. However, we carry with us the cherished memories of the six-day trek that will forever remain etched in our hearts. As we make our way back to Kathmandu, the drive will span approximately 6-7 hours, allowing us ample time to reflect on the remarkable experiences we have had along this remarkable adventure.
